The Managing Light exhibit project at the Science Museum of Minnesota has supported artists in the exploration of the aesthetics, physics, and cultural ideas associated with the phenomena of light. Through Managing Light, artists have the opportunity to share their experiences, work with colleagues and museum visitors, and experiment with new technologies in an informal workshop setting as they create an installation in the Experiment Gallery.
The artists that we have worked with in the program are:
- Charles Lume
- Randy Walker
- Krista Kelley Walsh
- Andrea Stanislav
- Margaret Pezalla-Granlund
To identify artists we sent out a Call for Artists in March of 2006.
Throughout the project, artists and staff have collaborated to create complementary activities and workshops, which we hosted in the Experiment Gallery and in the Learning Technologies Center.
