Catalhoyuk Conversation Station

Developed For: Mysteries of Catalhoyuk Exhibit, Science Museum of Minnesota

Learning Objective: Help visitors understand that there are multiple interpretations that can be given to archaeological objects, based on limited information about their context.

LTC Staff Involved: Joshua Seaver, Keith Braafladt, Morgan L'Argent

Key Features: Flash based touch screen with 7 different interactive comic books that include video and activities, with the ability to add your own interpretation to a live database on the web.

R & D Challenges: Devise a multiple layer comic book template for each mystery that can be understood in just 4 panels, but can be expanded to 16 or more panels. Devise a way to add to a web database and have staff be notified to check the content before it is published.
