Last Tuesday of Make it

Today is the last Tuesday of the summer. In the beggining of the summer, project Z began. It was nice to see all of the teams come together and work off of eachother to complete our project. We were suppose ot be learning the other porgrams needed, such as flash and imovie. This, to me, was difficult ot do because if everyone in our group was to be sitting at one computer, then we would be asked what else needed ot be done. I completly understand the reasoning for that, but it was hard for us to all learn that one skill.
Now, its sad to have everythign come to an end. W eare closing and cleaning up its really sad to see everyhign being packed away.
I hope to come back next summer and have our team bond even moer. I also hope that we can do outreaches more often.
Thanks for a great summer everyone. I can't wait for next time :)

movie using flash and imovie

Today was suppose to be the day that we go on the floor with our project Z finals. Many of the groups were having techincal problems with sound and whatnot. Our grous, pop can flashlights was having many difficulites with importing our movie. The audio and movie wouldnt match up.
Hoping it will work for next week!

Clocks

Today was my first day back in two weeks. We read an article about a clock tht is run on a single mercury ion. The most percise clock was one that ran on cesium. The cesium clock would be off by one second for every 70 million years. The new mercury clock would only be off by one second every 700 million years.

First week for MakeIt summer

Hi hi everyone. Last week was the first week for the MakeIt summer team. We all went on the floor Tuesday, doing the fossil project, slide togethers, and thaumotropes. The fossil project is having an inprint of an object in plaster. Slide togethers is a project making geometric figures out of triangles. Thaumotropes is an optical illusion where a picture, for example, a bird is one one side, and a cage is on the other. When spun, the 2 images come together, creating a bird in a cage.
It was nice that we all started out doing the projects right away.
We're getting our shirts tommorow... I'm excited
