Long time no see me write blog
It have been a long time since I wrote a blog. I think the last time that I wrote one was in February. So I have to caught up in my blog. So this week on friday I had to come in to show fruit band to the home educated student that was like 5 to 7 years old I think. The first thing that I did was to show the little kid how we use cricket to make food band. Then after that I had to help Jantte with the little kids. We made instrument that little kids will play when we was done. We also went outside and played a little game for while. After that we did some more instrument. Where you put a string in a cup and make some noise. It was a fun day. After doing that the little kid went home and we clean up. Then I went home.

Umm... Yeah Umm... aww
Alright, let's start with the good news. Make it might have the chance to spend the night
at the aquarium in the MOA. This is really exciting for the team. We could finally do something
overnight. We would have to do it on a weekday and not a weekend, but either way it would be fun.
Alright, the bad news... well, we have been working on getting our projects to fit inside a tiny
little ball, so that we can put them inside of a vending machine. Well our boss found out that if we went through with the whole process, then we would be putting too much liability on the science museum.
So, this was a major set back, but who knows what will happen.Patricia M – March 24, 2007 – 2:42pmPatricia M's blog – login to post comments
A "Lax" Saturday
Today was Native Americans In Science Day at the Science Museum. Therefor, the Make It team didnt have to work on the floor. Instead, we worked on improving vocal chord cups. We researched different ideas and science behind vocal chord cups. We also researched ways to change pitch in vocal chord cups and ways to present sound waves and how they work. Later, we went up on the floor and saw the different activities and booths in Native Americans In Science Day. This one was a little smaller than last year's but it was still informative. Today was a very relaxing day that didnt involve much strain. My kind of work day.

Work...work...work!!!!
For the pass few weeks the team has gone to do a few more outreaches!! One of the outreaches was at the College of St. Catherines. It was a fun experience, having to work all those girls from different schools and grades! It was a tiring day at the end but we made a lot of projects, rubberband boats, balloon powered cars, and straw rockets. Its also good to see that young kids are thinking about science and not just us older kids. It was a blast!!
Now Hannah and I are working on trying to makae our crystal radio work. We're working hard so cheer us on you guys!!! (^_^)
Hey!!! Omg, we're so tired that we're all sleeping on the ground! Hannah makes a good pillow!! Thanks a bunch Hannah!!!Kia V – March 21, 2007 – 3:53pmKia V's blog – login to post comments
okay.. so about today...
yeah... so today i didn't have such a great day. I've been having a hard time with a teacher that doesn't understand my situation... so ive been having a hard time with that and her not being able to make accommodation's to help me with my project that shes been asking for. i had a hard summer and i had some family issues that i dont necessarily like to talk about and she doesnt think its that big of a deal, but it is. Ive been trying to work through that but shes really rude to me and humiliates me in front of the class. I dont really like to talk about me having a bad day but i thought that i would let it out and now i feel much better. so about the outreach at st.kates. it was super fun but sometimes it was a little hectic. it was a really long day and some of the kids didnt want to listen and felt like they were above the projects. there also was this one girl that a little difficult to work with and everyone else got a kick out of her. yeah. i got tired after lunch and wanted to take a nap, but i couldnt. ah the good times. it was a really awesome day and it was way better than the day ive been having so far. i love coming to work. when i come here i just feel like i can have a horrible day and all of my friends can brighten up my day. but heres some pictures of that awesome day i had at st.kates! [i fell much better now that i have talked and came to work!] see ya .:*HANNAH*:

Wow I have not being in here for a while now. It has been the longest. To tell the truth, I actually miss writing in here. Well, sooooo many things had happen to me.
At school, we are to make our schedule for next year, and I'm having troubles with that. There are so many classes to choose from, it's so confusing. I don't know, but I put down: English 12 World Lit. IB; Physics IB; Psychology and Economy system for History; Calclus, Central Morning News and Adv. Gym for my electives. I hope I made the right classes, since my counsler can be mean when changing classes, but who cares about her. I got my mommy and daddy. Anyway, that out of the way, now I have to concetrate on my works, and getting decent grades. I can't wait until my friends and me are going to hang out. I haven't hang out with them for like a month now, and I'm starting to miss them, I know I see them everyday but that's different. We used to hangout like every week, just going out to eat pho'. Dude, I want some pho' now. For these past weeks, I've learned alot about my friends. I learn who my real friends are, the fake ones and the ones that I can get annoyed by...really fast. But they're always there for me, and I'm glad to have them. Speaking of friends, I'm thinking about my co-workes now, how we've been together for a whole year now and Make-It is going to end. I'm going to miss them alot. I shared alot of memories with them. Good, funny, sad memories we've all been there with each other. I'm glad to have my co-workers in my life, and of course my bosses.Maikouyang is out----->

I finally got to do the fruit band!
Saturday, March 3rd, 2007... I had a very good time on the floor. It was my first time
doing the fruit band. We had a rocky time getting started, but we got the ball rolling soon
enough. Part of the problem was Kia, Cameron, and I were all first timers, we all had not
done fruit band before. We all needed Liz and Rachel to help us with the programming. To program the crickets, we used a program called Pico Blocks.
So when we finally got the computers running, our next problem was attracting visitors. We never usually have a problem with doing this... but... we were not in original spot this last Saturday. We were up on level four instead of three. So I figured it would probably help if visitors knew that we were ready to start, I then just kinda asked a family to come and join us. After that, the people just started flowing in. The were having contest to see who could encounter the "cat" sound first, or the "horse", etc...
I enjoyed the fruit band, I'm sure visitors did also:)Patricia M – March 6, 2007 – 5:46pmPatricia M's blog – login to post comments
