Snow on the ground

Last Wednesday after we, Make It team was done putting our materials together for the week we had a snow ball fight. Everyone was having fun. No one got hurt. I was taking pictures because I don't like to play in the snow. Its cold and I don't like to get wet. I enjoyed my team playing around. The pictures I took wasn't much good because some of them were bury due to myself being too far away from my team. After playing in the snow we went inside to talk about Thursday which was a outreach we were going to do at Museum Magnet but was cancel due to the snow on that day. After work everyone went home. I enjoy the end of the day because of the fun and team work we do together as a team.

Wild Music

Today the make it team went up stairs to visit the new Exhibit called Wild Music. It was realllly really cool! It had alot of different ways and ideas to view sounds and music and ways i have never even thought of before. My favorite part about the whole exhibit was the part that we could change your voice but not really using your voice at all. Another one i thought was really cool was the ship and water one, where I was about to here sounds under water. After our team was done with Wild music we came back down stairs to get to work. We split up into groups and some of us got materials for rubberband boats, and some of us got balloon powered cars readay and others straw rockets. After i was done with my part of the rubberband boats, liz told me to come blog and i talked about wild music and what eles we did today and now here i am. :)

My team had a snowball fight w/o ME:(

Last Wednesday the make it team had a snowball fight; unfortunately I wasn't apart of that.
While they were having a good ol' time, i was busy reading Extracurricular activity business proposals. They were interesting, but I would have had a very good time with my team:( I have to do another proposal
review on Monday, but that's not a day that I meet with my team, so that's good. All of my team members enjoy playing with each other, Let's take a look at them playing together:

wild music....and getting ready for MM

Today because it was the opening of wild music, the make it team decided to compliment the exhibit by also relating our projects to sounds. The Make it team complimented the Wild Music exhibit with vocal cord cups, and the fruit band. Because they both were related to sound and music. I worked with the vocal cord cups it was interesting because there were a lot of little kids who spit every which way! Hopefully i don't get sick! Over all being up stairs was pretty fun though. After the I was the done up on the floor we switched. I came down stairs and got some other materials for the rubber band boats. I got connect legos, and popsicle sticks for alternatives instead of the spoons.

Yesterday we didn't have any school because it was a snow day!!!!!!!!!!! I was soooo happy we didn't have a snow day because I had a chemistry test that i did not want to take! So instead of going to school I slept...shoveled the snow (by the way that wasn't a high point of my day off)...went shopping!

On Wednesday our team had a snow ball fight because we did so well on "Make It Jeopardy" the day before! It was so much fun! We all ganged up on Cameron and got him good! :-)

Today was a slow day. We started out with a brief explanation of job openings in the summer. Later, we discovered that we would be working on the 4th floor instead of the 3rd floor. We also discovered that we don't get that many people at our tables on the 4th floor. The projects that we did on the floor were vocal chord cups and fruit band. A few of the team members got spit on by kids while doing vocal chord cups and others had to clean up fruit juices doing fruit band. We attracted a few people but we mostly entertained ourselves. Oh yeah, we also had a snowball fight on Wednesday. It was a lot of fun.

African American Day

We the Make It team was not on the floor today because of the African American today that which we didn't have a space to teach visitors. We went around to check things out. First we stopped by a man he was talking about good soil and bad soil. I learned what if the sand was too sandy and soft it was not good to build a building there because the building will sink in. If the ground is rocky that means it is good to build a building because the building can't sink in. I never knew this before until now. The second stop was the firefighters. Kia, John, and Isabell (sorry if I spell your name wrong) put on the firefighters suit. I learned that if their is a fire they only have three minutes to get into their suit and grab everything they need and get into the fire truck. When they are in the fire truck they buckle up their suit and put on everything else. After that we walk around most more and then went to take our break. After the break we went to go see Voices. I thought it was good. I learned a lot of what other teenagers like me think of race.

WORKIN' HARD OR HARDLY WORKIN'??

YEAH... so today was super awesome! I had to get kaleidoscopes so i got to use the SUPER GINORMOUS PAPER CUTTER!! it was fun. although i had all of that fun with the paper cutter it was kind of challenging because i had to make sure that i could see the marks i made on the super shiny paper, but i did it! and i still have all of my fingers. oh. i also had a SUPER AWESOME DAY AT WORK LAST SATURDAY! we go to go aroung the museum and see all of the booths for AFRICAN AMERICANS IN SCIENCE DAY. IT WAS FUN!!! Kia, John and I went to the big world and we got lift it up before we saw a Jazz band. it was fun! heres a picture of KIA!

I haven't blogged forever!!!!!!!

Wow....I haven't blogged for a while. Im really excited because we have alot of outreaches coming up! We have one next friday at the Rondo Community Library health fair. We have another one on March 1st at Museum Magnet which is also the day we are going to the capital for youth day at the capital, so we get to miss school!!! yay! I am also really excited because tomorrow is Valentines Day! and our winter dance at my school is on friday which will be alot of fun!!! well thats all for now! BYE:-)
