okay.. so about today...
yeah... so today i didn't have such a great day. I've been having a hard time with a teacher that doesn't understand my situation... so ive been having a hard time with that and her not being able to make accommodation's to help me with my project that shes been asking for. i had a hard summer and i had some family issues that i dont necessarily like to talk about and she doesnt think its that big of a deal, but it is. Ive been trying to work through that but shes really rude to me and humiliates me in front of the class. I dont really like to talk about me having a bad day but i thought that i would let it out and now i feel much better. so about the outreach at st.kates. it was super fun but sometimes it was a little hectic. it was a really long day and some of the kids didnt want to listen and felt like they were above the projects. there also was this one girl that a little difficult to work with and everyone else got a kick out of her. yeah. i got tired after lunch and wanted to take a nap, but i couldnt. ah the good times. it was a really awesome day and it was way better than the day ive been having so far. i love coming to work. when i come here i just feel like i can have a horrible day and all of my friends can brighten up my day. but heres some pictures of that awesome day i had at st.kates! [i fell much better now that i have talked and came to work!] see ya .:*HANNAH*:

OOBLECK!!!!!
Today on the floor the non-newtonian fluid called oobleck (corn starch mixed with water) was a hit. John, Kia, Molly and I have been showing and telling people about it all day. For every pound of corn starch you need to mix in two cups of water. I've been playing with the "goop" so much that it has dryed out my hands but I know that that would happen. At one point we had to change the "goop" because it was getting pretty dry and dirty. While I was making a new batch of oobleck when like 8-10 people came and sat down if front on me and asked me what I'm making. As I was telling them what it was, I was mixing it up, slapped it a couple of times to see if it was good and then I told them that it was done and that they could play with it now. Well it's time for me to go so until next time this is Big B signing off.

On Saturday we did.....
On Saturday we did our projects on the floor. Five of our projects. Mike and John did thaumatropes, Kia and I made clocks, Nou made camera, and Alina and Cameron made 3-d vision. Tria and Keng helped around with the projects. It was the second day that the Body World had open, and it wasn't what we expected. There weren't that many people, so the day went by slowly. Teaching the clock can be hard when a bunch of children coming at the same time wanting to learn how to make one, and it's hard helping all of them at a time, can be stressful. But I had alot of patience and I had a great time teaching them. What was hard is that there were alot of steps of making the clock. For me to do something better I should speak up more and talk more about the current news.

The saturday
On saturday we went on the floors. We have to do the project that we haven't done yet. So we did almost everyone project. I helped with the clock and the sowing machine. The clock was easy, but I had some problem with the clock because I didn't really know what to do. The sowing was easy because all I have to do was to teach them how to sow and I learn that before did it already. The thing was that we thought that there will be more people and there wasn't. I also help with the camera. It was fun because once the little kid made the camera and saw the image. They was happy because of what they saw.

Day of our Five Projects
On Saturday April 6, the Make-It team were up on the third floor. It was a slow day for us. Later like around 3p.m. to 4p.m. there were a few people that started to come over to us. There were only a few came over to me and Tria. I enjoyed teaching those people. They were interested in how the camera odscura works. When the kids said they don't see anything I told them to look again or go over to the window and look outside and they did see the picture. I almost didn't know what to do when the kids didn't see the picture in the camera obscura. At the end of the day I thought it went will.

What I learned about 3-D glasses & camera obscura
Today is El Dia de los ninos. Cameron & Alina taught us how to make 3-D pictures looking through by tiolet paper roll. First, they taught us how to take the picture. Taking a picture, focus in and then take another picture of the right. Then import it into the computer where you will print it out and taking the tiolet paper roll, look through it. For some people you will see the picture as one but for others you can't. That occurs because of how your eyes deal with it. Nou taught us how to make a camera, the very first camera that was invented, but minus the part that you can't take pictures. The materials that you need are a black paper, can, cotton ball. After building it, the picture in the camera will be upside sown.

what i learn today
Today we learn about making 3-D picture and a camera that can make a image out of light. I learn about fishes and how they can be change into 3-D form. Thing that was easy about this project was that you have to take picture of little dino. Then put it into the computer and print it. You will look at the picture through the tissue roll. Then we learn about the agent celebrate the birth of a star. After that we learn how to make the camera. Making the camera was easy there wasn't any part that was hard. I also learn to make what Nana making today.
