| When it gets too dark the light sensor tells the cricket to turn on a christmas light.
When someone gets too close to you a sensor tells the cricket to turn on a fan that blows confetti at the person.
When your glasses get fogged up the sensor tells the cricket to turn on a motor that is attached to the glasses. The motor moves two wipers to clean of the fog. |

We started of by going on Logo Blocks and experimenting with different sounds and different levels of light going through the cricket. You use a sensor and a display to show how much electricity runs through the light sensor. The interface cricket is hooked up to the computer and it sends information to the cricket which tells the other cricket to do whatever you programmed on Logo Blocks. |

| We played around to see if our ideas would work. I went on to Logo Blocks and put down the ideas we thought would work. I had my cricket turn on a motor for five seconds if the sensor value was lower than 50. |

| I went onto Logo Blocks to try different ideas for the glasses cleaner. The two motors run if the light sensor value gets to be under fifty. The wipers will clean fog off the glasses.

| I started to make the base for the glass wipers. I’m going to use a hat so the cricket stays on the hat and isn't in your way. The wipers will still be attached to the glasses but they will be attached to a pole and will be hanging off the hat. I added cloth to the wipes so they would wipe the glasses the same way that happens if you took off the glaases and wiped them on your shirt. I also made it to go back and forth like windsheld wipers. |
This is one of the wipers.

This is my program telling what the motors should do. |
Today I took the motors and hooked them up to a pair of glasses. I made the motors turn on after it got below 0 degrees celsius. Before they turn on they have to get warmer then 20 degrees celsius.

This is the glass wipers outside. |
I had to go through lots of practices with my glass wipers to make sure everything was working right. To make the glass wipers work you need to go into a cold area for a little while, then go into a warm area, then it should work. For the cold area I went outside then I came inside and held the glass wipers up to the heater.

| I got my cricket attached to the glasses by elastic and Velcro. When I tried it on it stayed so that was good. After I made sure it would stay I went outside to test it again, but this time we were videotaping it. I decided that the wipers didn’t stay on long enough so I changed it on the computer.
Here is a movie of my finished glasses. |
