Ants
05/18/2004

We learned about ants by reading, looking at pictures, and studying models of ant tunnels. First we looked at many books. Some were easy to read and some were hard. We also watched a video about ants to see them moving. Next, we researched to find out about ant body parts and what they are used for.

We made our own ants and an ant tunnel for them. Each group chose one of the ant jobs to show in a movie. We wrote notes from our research to help us show the ants moving the right way for their jobs. Then we each took more than 60 pictures to show our ants moving. Later we put our pictures into the computer and connected them into a movie. We wrote a script to explain what was happening in the movie. We recorded our voices into our movie. If you watch our movie you can learn about some of the jobs that ants do.
