Eva and I started out making a story about two girls who sail away on a trip and the boat is sunk by a wave. Then the girls wait on the island and get rescued by a helicopter. That idea was trashed recently because the animation was all messed up and the story was too long. That was our main problem. We had two weeks to a) come up with a story and b) to film the story and add sound. We had to keep the old set, so we settled on a simple plan. The story is about two girls on a trip in a helicopter. Their luggage falls down and they have to get it. The End.
The story was started because Eva and I wanted to have two girls face a BIG problem. That did not work, so we settled for a smaller one. We also both loved water and the helicopter was prebuilt. Another group had a Koolaid spill. That got us thinking about something falling. What better to fall on a trip than luggage? That was the prime focus of our story. Then the rest was easy.
While on this project I learned how to make a movie. I learned how to film and use small movements. One memorable recess I taught myself how to add fade-ins, fade-outs,etc. It was really fun and I learned a lot and taught my teachers a bit too. Also, I never thought it would be possible for kids to do a full movie. I learned how to only move a little bit of the action each time I took the photos. If I moved too much or too little then everything would be messed up. Last, it helped me learn to work with people outside of my circle of friends. Eva and I most certainly wouldn’t pick each other as partners, but when we became partners, everything went smoothly. I guess, when I think about it, I learned much more. I learned much too much to be named and I don’t know all that I learned straight off, but I know I did and I really will be able to do this later. It will never leave me completely and I might make another movie some day.
I extremely, completely, totally, awesomely, excitedly, LOVED doing this and it was totally FUN!
Watch a movie of my finished project.

Here is a picture of Eva and me working on the old movie. Though that movie was scrapped, the team was double strong together.
I had to use the old props to make the new movie set. Right here, I am making the set.
This is a picture of me taking a picture. Haha! A picture of me taking a picture!!!
