I made a trek to Ax-Man and actually found some things there I really wanted to use (and could figure out how to use). Usually I go there and pick up tons of interesting things that I just can't figure out how I would ever use, but this time I was looking for small boxes and other containers that I could use to make diorama-like sculptures. One of the good finds were these little glass-topped metal cans. The metal is thin enough that you could cut holes for cords. There were also clear plastic boxes, but it was very tricky to make holes in them without cracking the plastic. Little plastic and metal boxes. Lots of paper boxes, in a variety of sizes. Again, good for making sculptural environments for creatures: Beautiful rocks and tiny little animals (though I wish they were little deer instead of elephants and donkeys) and monsters: Little plastic animals and monsters to populate the diorama.
