Musical Graphiti
I'm playing around with the Musical Graphiti activity for the Sensor Garden Atelier coming up... Margaret and Keith developed this, and I wanted to make some nice programs to use the morning we do the activity in the workshop. Here's the setup. Margaret got some different drawing tools for us to try, and it seems like the Cretacolor Monolith 9B (extra soft) works really well. A regular pencil is ok, but it's more fun with this graphite stick.
I wrote a simple program that plays a note as soon as there's any connection, and then a more complicated one that only plays when the resistance changes (so it won't go "beep beep beep" on the same pitch).
My cell phone was sitting next to the Cricket's sound box and make it do the tick tick thing -- I haven't heard that before! For the workshop, we'll also set up fingerpaint and plexi boards for messier, more colorful graffiti: again kudos to Margaret for this one
