Light Play at Museum Magnet School: Days 4 and 5
Days 4 and 5: Making Motion Each pair worked creating their objects and building the module that will move their light. Once the modules were built, students programmed Crickets to make their motor turn on and off, change directions... however they want it to move.
Nina and Justin made a machine that will move their feather towards and away from the screen, using corrugated cardboard, Lego gears, a motor and a Cricket.]

After talking to Margaret and seeing her paper exoskeletons I was wondering about how to get materials to seem alive. A little movement, a little sound. So I started thinking about blankets. Some time ago Margaret made a little green cloth worm-like thing with a lego motor inside with a gear attached to the motor. When it turned on, it wriggled. Very subtle movement, and it appeared to be alive.
